Jones Work Study Program
Work-study is on-campus employment for eligible students. These are minimum wage jobs in various departments on campus to help with expenses. Hours range on average from 5 – 10 hours per week. Applications can be completed in the Veterans Affairs/Work-Study Office upon registration. Students must apply for the FAFSA on the web and submit all required paperwork to the FAO. On-campus jobs are limited.
Why become a work-study?
- Students gain work experience while attending college.
- Students keep student loan debt down by working instead of borrowing.
- Students arrange work schedules around class schedules.
If students are interested in work-study being a part of the financial aid package, please contact the VA/Work-Study Office at the beginning of the semester to complete a work-study application. The VA/Work-Study Counselor will refer students to student-worker supervisors based on the type of work requested. Student-worker supervisors select students based on skills, position requirements, availability, and personal interview. If any questions exist regarding the work-study program, please contact the VA/Work-Study Counselor.
