What is Financial Aid?

All students are encouraged to apply for the FAFSA!

The Pell Grant is a federal grant awarded to undergraduate students, who have not received a baccalaureate degree, signifies financial need, and meets eligibility requirements. This grant does not have to be repaid, as long as the student remains enrolled more than 60% of the semester. No other need-based aid will be awarded until Pell Grant eligibility (need) has been determined.

  • Print a Pre-Application Worksheet
This document assists applicants in preparing for the online FAFSA application. Print this document, and then fill out completely before applying online.
  • School Code Search
The school code of the college planning to attend must be listed on the FAFSA in order for that college to obtain FAFSA results.
  • Apply for PIN
It is highly recommended that students have access to the PIN before completing the online application. All students must obtain a PIN. In addition, if the student answers "No" to all the questions in Section 2 on the Pre-Application Worksheet, one parent must obtain a PIN. The PIN can be used each year to apply electronically.
  • Apply for Pell Grant (FAFSA)
Have the pre-application worksheet filled out completely or have Federal Tax Return and W-2's on hand for the correct year.
